Hoan Kiem Lake.
Started at Hanoi and then on to Ha Long Bay. Back to Hanoi and then a flight to Da Nang. Da Nang to Hoi An and then to Hue. A flight from Hue to Ho Chi Minh City. Finally on to Phan Thiet for the final six nights.
In Hanoi - visited a temple, water puppet show, a cyclo ride and a visit to Ho Chi Minh Memoral.
Next was a boat trip at Ha Long bay to visit the caves. Part Of The James Bond Film Tomorrow Never Dies was filmed here and in Saigon.
Staying for one night at the Saigon HaLong Hotel. After our trip on the boat it was back to Hanoi for one last night.

An early morning flight, Friday, from Hanoi to Da Nang. Visited the Cham Museum, On to Hoi An to see the Japanese bridge and then over the mountain to Hue. For a two night stay at the Huong Giang Hotel overlooking the Perfume River.

From Hue we took a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Staying at the Duxton Hotel in the heart of the city.

The first place to be visted in Ho Chi Minh City was the Cu Chi Tunnels just 70km northwest of the city.
An experiance all of its own! Crawling through part of the original tunnel!
